Connecting, Learning, and Looking Ahead in Barcelona
Morula Health will be heading to Barcelona for the 61st EMWA Spring Conference, taking place May 5–8, 2026, one of the most established and influential events in the medical writing calendar.
EMWA is always a valuable opportunity to step away from day‑to‑day delivery and reconnect with the wider medical writing community. This year, we’re particularly looking forward to the conversations, both planned and spontaneous, that help shape how our industry continues to evolve.
Conferences like EMWA create space for meaningful exchanges: sharing experiences from real‑world projects, discussing emerging challenges, and exploring how best practice continues to shift across regulatory, clinical, and medical communications.
From the program themes already announced, we’re especially interested in discussions around AI in medical writing, patient voice, and the future of clinical and regulatory documentation, areas that are increasingly relevant to our clients and the projects we support.
Our colleague Phil Burridge will be attending on behalf of Morula Health, meeting peers, collaborators, and industry partners from across Europe and beyond. Phil will speak on a CORE Reference panel, alongside Sam Hamilton (Chair), Vivien Fagan, and Debbie Jordan, to share practical insights on delivering high‑quality, standardized CSRs that support efficient review, disclosure readiness, and consistent outcomes.
CORE Reference 10th Anniversary
Phil will be a guest speaker in a panel session focused on the CORE reference to share practical perspectives on delivering high‑quality, standardized clinical study reports (CSRs), supporting efficient review, disclosure readiness, and consistent outcomes, with reference to CORE Reference.

Just as important, though, are the informal conversations that happen between sessions, over coffee, or during networking events, where practical insights often surface first.
If you’re attending EMWA this year, Phil would be delighted to connect, whether to exchange perspectives, talk through current challenges, or simply catch up with familiar faces.
